The Aussie Bodies Taplin Series is now the most hotly contested series on the beach. After round 4 there is a 3-way tie for 1st in the men’s series with Alexandra Headlands, Northcliffe and Kurrawa all on 115 points. However, it’s still any team’s series to win, with the top 6 teams all split by only 2 points. Round 4 was taken out by a star-studded Manly team with a swim leg from team leader Kendrick Louis setting up the team for their first Aussie Bodies Taplin round for the Summer.

It was de’ja’vu in Aussie Bodies Women’s Taplin with World Champion team Northcliffe dominating from start to finish once again. The girls from the Gold Coast have won the last 3 rounds and put themselves in the best possible spot to win the Aussie Bodies Taplin Series. The final Ski Leg from World Champion Dani McKenzie was “nail in the coffin” after she blew the field away in what was one of the most impressive performances of the day. The North Burleigh girls capped off an amazing weekend for the club with a second place, heading home Gold Coast rivals Currumbin.
