Burleigh Summer of Surf Round 1
Burleigh Headlands Mowbray Park SLSC proudly present Round 1 Summer of Surf this year.
A club that has produced some of Surf Life Saving’s best athletes, Burleigh has always provided athletes with great competitions and hosted some of the most exciting events.
Club Entries Entries are invited from all Clubs throughout Australia for the “Summer of Surf – Round 1”. The method of entry is via the Live Heats website for all Clubs.
All entrants must be both proficient and current financial Members of their respective Surf Life Saving Clubs.
We’re excited about this years prize pool but not in a position to announce it just yet.
Distribution of Bulletin
It is most important that the information in this Bulletin is brought to the attention of all Carnival Officials, Team Managers, Coaches and Competitors. Non receipt of this Bulletin will not be taken as an excuse if a Club, Team or Individual does not comply with the requirements outlined in this and other Bulletins and Circulars.
Entries Close Round 1 – Midnight Monday 7th December 2019
Team changes/deleting competitors/adding an event for an existing competitor: can be done via email email@example.com until midday Thursday 14th November. After this time any team changes and deletions will need to be done with the event administrator.
Team Managers will have until 30 minutes prior to Marshalling on each respective competition day to register late competitor entries with Administration.
Entry fees are as follows:
U15 & U17 : $44 +gst for unlimited age group events ( plus $7+gst for each additional individual Open event)
Open: $44 +gst for 1 Individual event & unlimited teams events ( plus $7+gst for each additional individual Open event)
Late Entry Fees Late entry fees will be charged additional $15 (inc. GST) per competitor
A Tax Invoice for all club entries (including late/ additional entries) will be issued to all competing clubs in the week after each round.
Entry Conditions All Competitors wishing to compete in Round 1 of the 2020/21 Summer of Surf must have the relevant SLSA award for the Age Group/s they wish to compete in. All entered athletes must have completed and signed the SLSA “Application for Membership Form” or their countries relevant document and paid any required membership fees as proof of their eligibility to race.
NB: It is an offence to enter a person who does not meet any of the above requirements, and any irregularities will be considered by the Branch and/or State Surf Sports Committee.
Dress of Competitors In all events all athletes must wear approved club competition caps in good condition, securely, tied under the chin. As this carnival will promote Surf Life Saving Queensland’s image to the general public it is of the utmost importance that the standard of dress for both officials and competitors is maintained at the highest possible level.
Competition Conditions Competition conditions for all events will be in accordance with the 35th Edition SLSA Surf Sports Manual.
